Project : “Proteomic studies of Host-Pathogen Interactions in Banana-Banana Mosaic Virus (BBrMV) system”
 
Qualification : First class in M.Sc. (Agri) specialized in Biotechnology (Plant Biotechnology / Molecular Biology andBiotechnology), Biochemistry, Plant Pathology M.Sc. Biotechnology / Biochemistry M.Sc. (Horticulture) with Biotechnology specialization .Desirable : Experience in molecular techniques viz., 2DE,  SDS, PCR, Q-PCR, ELISA, Southern blot,  Northern blot, Western blot techniques, basic  Molecular Virology techniques.

The National Research Centre for Banana (NRCB) was established at Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu on 21st August, 1993 on the recommendation of the task force set up by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research as a part of its resolve to strengthen research into complexities of problems in Banana and plantain and the threats imposed by many biotic and abiotic stresses and started functioning effectively from 1st April 1994.
